Lower Blood Sugar
One of the most effective ways to fight diabetes is to keep blood sugar levels as low as possible. It's normal for blood sugar levels to rise after a meal or snack, but it's best to keep them as low as possible. According to the August 2017 Journal of the American College of Nursing, adding some bay leaves to the carrot mixture when baking can help do this.
Twenty volunteers ate at researchers from Peshawar University of Agriculture in Pakistan and Curtin University in Perth, Australia.
